We had an amazingly fun surprise birthday party for my hubby's aunt yesterday. Her theme was "Fiesta" and I was asked to make her some matching cake pops. This is what I came up with:

It's a boy

I love anything baby shower. I'm always looking for an excuse to do baby things and when my mother asked me to make her some baby shower favors for a coworker of hers, well lets just say, I didn't complaint much :).

I came up with these cuties. I used a ton of Jaded Blossom products here. :)

For the favors I used 3 x 4 clear bags, Fancy topper die, mini tag dies, and Baby candies all from Jaded Blossom. The little feet are from the New Arrival cricut cartridge.

I made 20 of these little bags. Since their wasn't much paper piecing to be done, I did them pretty quickly which I was thrilled about since it was a last minute request.

For the Mommy to be gift I used just about the same products plus the gusset bag, the sentiment from Sweet Baby, and the Doodlebug sprinkles all from Jaded Blossom.

Lion treats

I currently have a student doing her externship in our office at work. She shadows me and as much as I'm teaching her, she's equally helping me out. I was beyond behind on paperwork and thanks to her, I was able to get caught up. Unfortunately for me, tomorrow will be her last day and I'm back to pulling out my hair. Lol. As a small gesture of gratitude for all her work, I made her this little cutie.

It was pretty easy and quick to put together. The lion box is a pattern from the Zoo animal treat boxes set from Myscrapchick. Not too many layers in this pattern and even then I think it's adorable :). The stamps on the bottom of my Rollos are from the Wild animal candies stamp set from my fave, JadedBlossom. I just colored them in using my chromatix markers and punched them out using a 3/4" circle punch. I also used the Go wild stamp set also from JadedBlossom for my sentiment and hand cut the little banner and attached 2 small gemstones. The eyes are from the Peachy Keen Wide eyes and bushy tailed face assortment set.

But this little cutie also has a backside to it. Look at his little bootie!!! Adorable!!!

This is what the inside looks like

Can't wait to give this to her tomorrow. :)
