Ladybug cakepops

Today is my niece's birthday. My little Melibug just turned one. I can't believe how quickly time flies. Just like yesterday's post, her birthday party theme will be all about ladybugs. My sister is making all the yummy deserts for the desert table and I always add my little touch with my cakepops. I think these came out pretty cute and luckily, didn't take up all whole day to complete since I only made 2 dozen.

Here's a close up

I can't wait to show up with these cuties tomorrow. I'm not big on super sweet stuff like cakepops. Half of a cakepop and I've had plenty but it seems like everyone else enjoys them very much and that just makes all the hard work and long hours totally worth it.

Melibug

My sweet baby niece, Melanie will be turning one tomorrow and she'll have her birthday party on Saturday to celebrate. My sister asked me to make her a birthday banner and this is what I came up with. :)

I really didn't think this would take me so long to make but many many many hours later, it's all done. Just in time too. I have to get started on her ladybug cake pops. I'll post a picture of those tomorrow when their all done. :)

Please don't mind the sketch underneath. Lol. My sister was anxious to see the progress and I snapped a quick picture to show her. The little lady bugs are from my fave, Svgcuttingfiles.com  and the banner is a cut from the silhouette online store. The letters were all cut using my Pooh and friends cricut cartridge.

How sweet are these little girls??? I love their facial expressions.

I should have warned that this post would be picture loaded. Lol

It's really hard to tell with these pics but all the letters have glitter outlines using my stickles to make them pop and seem a little bit girlier. Maybe it's just me but the red and black color combo doesn't scream girly to me, but it is a lady bug theme so I must  stick to it. Lol

Can't wait until Saturday, so I can 1st of all, give my little bug a boo a birthday present and to show off my banner at the party :)

Teacher goodie

I'm so... Beyond excited that I can't even sleep. My son, Alexander will be starting kindergarden in just a few hours. How did this happen? It seems like just yesterday my little boy was just born. I hope he loves it and doesn't "all of a sudden" forget all the practicing we've been doing over the summer. We met with his teacher a few months ago at the kindergarten orientation night and was really happy with how she presented herself with all the kids and us parents. She seems very sweet and I know my son will love her. So as a small thank you,  I made her a little something.

I used a whole lot of jaded blossom products here and I'm very happy with how it turned out.

The apple card is from The Scrapping Bug Designs, The learning Zone. It's the same apple from the gift tags with the little mouse. I simply turned it into a shape card on my silhouette studio and added a tag from Jaded Blossom's
Mini Tag Dies and stamped a cute sentiment from their Hello Hello stamp set. Finished it off with some red and white twine I found in the dollar bins at Target some time ago.

For my little gift bag tag I used Jaded Blossom's Treat Tag Die. The cute little mouse is from  Scrapping Bug Designs and I stamped the sentiment on the apple by using 2 different stamps from the School Rocks set also by my fave company,  Jaded Blossom. Finished it off with some magenta organza ribbon from Michael's

I love using Tin containers as favors for people. The wrapped Hershey nuggets look so cute in them and they fit 12 of them perfectly. I had some school themed paper laying around from some while back and had enough scraps to put this together.  The tag is made exactly the same as the gift bag tag. I cut a strip of red paper and sized it down to wrap around the tin container and scored lines to make it look "cleaner". And using a  Martha Stewart punch, I went all at the top and bottom for a more decorative accent. I then glued a slightly smaller pattern paper to the top and wrapped it with the organza ribbon and attached my tag.

This is how it looks opened. I used Jaded Blossom's Hello Candies on 4 of those nuggets. It's hard to tell in this picture but it reads hello teacher. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I hope his teacher loves it and I I'm really really hoping my son will love school and learn lots!!!

Turtle Treat

I made another cute little treat for my temporary babysitters. My 2 little cousins are around my children's ages and they "helped" babysit so I thought I'd say thank you to them as well.

Recipe:
Turtle belly box is from Svgcuttingfiles
Mini tag dies, gusset bags and Sea life candies are from Jaded Blossom
Magenta organza ribbon and all paper used is from my local Michaels
Pink bow ribbon is from American Crafts
