Teacher goodie

I'm so... Beyond excited that I can't even sleep. My son, Alexander will be starting kindergarden in just a few hours. How did this happen? It seems like just yesterday my little boy was just born. I hope he loves it and doesn't "all of a sudden" forget all the practicing we've been doing over the summer. We met with his teacher a few months ago at the kindergarten orientation night and was really happy with how she presented herself with all the kids and us parents. She seems very sweet and I know my son will love her. So as a small thank you,  I made her a little something.

I used a whole lot of jaded blossom products here and I'm very happy with how it turned out.

The apple card is from The Scrapping Bug Designs, The learning Zone. It's the same apple from the gift tags with the little mouse. I simply turned it into a shape card on my silhouette studio and added a tag from Jaded Blossom's
Mini Tag Dies and stamped a cute sentiment from their Hello Hello stamp set. Finished it off with some red and white twine I found in the dollar bins at Target some time ago.

For my little gift bag tag I used Jaded Blossom's Treat Tag Die. The cute little mouse is from  Scrapping Bug Designs and I stamped the sentiment on the apple by using 2 different stamps from the School Rocks set also by my fave company,  Jaded Blossom. Finished it off with some magenta organza ribbon from Michael's

I love using Tin containers as favors for people. The wrapped Hershey nuggets look so cute in them and they fit 12 of them perfectly. I had some school themed paper laying around from some while back and had enough scraps to put this together.  The tag is made exactly the same as the gift bag tag. I cut a strip of red paper and sized it down to wrap around the tin container and scored lines to make it look "cleaner". And using a  Martha Stewart punch, I went all at the top and bottom for a more decorative accent. I then glued a slightly smaller pattern paper to the top and wrapped it with the organza ribbon and attached my tag.

This is how it looks opened. I used Jaded Blossom's Hello Candies on 4 of those nuggets. It's hard to tell in this picture but it reads hello teacher. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I hope his teacher loves it and I I'm really really hoping my son will love school and learn lots!!!
